Gene S. Godick
With over 25 years of financial and executive experience, including eight years of Big Five accounting experience, Gene Godick’s knowledge and expertise covers all verticals of business finance. Gene led the Verticalnet IPO, where he helped the company to raise $64 million in equity. During his tenure there, he raised over $300 million and completed over 25 M&A transactions. After the internet bubble crashed, Gene led the restructuring of Verticalnet, ultimately transforming it into a leading spend management software company.
From 2006 until 2012, Gene served as CEO and founder of nursing uniform online retailer and cataloger, Tafford Uniforms. He sold the assets to a PE backed strategic buyer in 2012.
Most recently, Gene founded G-Squared Partners, LLC. G-Squared Partners is currently providing part-time CFO services, financial and operational consulting to many of the leading venture backed and technology companies in the NY to DC corridor.Gene received a B.S. from Villanova University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
Jon has 25 years of financial and executive experience, having held various roles in both publicly traded and privately held companies in industries such as software, e-commerce, manufacturing and distribution. Throughout his career, he has participated in over twenty M&A transactions on both the buy and sell side.
Jon has been the VP, Chief Accounting and Principal Financial Officer for two publicly traded companies and has consulted with various companies in the Philadelphia market, including Cummins Power Systems and Constar International. All of this combined experience makes Jon uniquely able to provide a wide range of services including assisting companies in obtaining bank financing, aiding management with strategic initiatives and planning, providing detailed financial modeling and multi-year forecasts for internal or external purposes, and creating monthly management reporting and analysis tools.
Jon received a B.S. in Management/Accounting from Hartwick College and his MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from LaSalle University. Jon is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
In his free time, Jon enjoys golfing, cooking and spending time with his family.
Tom is a financial accounting leader with 25 years of experience that includes roles as CFO, VP of Finance and Controller for organizations ranging from startups to multi-billion dollar conglomerates. His background has industry concentrations and organizational structures that cross diverse businesses with significant experience in healthcare, technology, distribution and professional service providers.
Tom has led publicly traded companies, investor-owned ventures and not-for-profit organizations in all areas of financial management, with particular emphasis on monthly financial statement reporting, capital and financial planning, organizational performance and design, and management reporting of Key performance indicators.
Tom received a BS in accounting from the University of Delaware and is a certified public accountant (inactive).
Theresa joined G-Squared Partners, LLC with over 20 years accounting experience. Her background includes public accounting, working with start-up companies at a business development company, and non-profit accounting. She has a strong background in preparation of internal and external financial statements, including an operational analysis to accompany those financial statements. Theresa has the ability to identify, document and establish internal controls throughout an organization, especially as they pertain to the financial aspects.
Her extensive background in auditing policies and procedures from both the auditor and client perspectives, attention to detail and day to day general accounting experience, make her an asset to her clients. Her proven ability to successfully analyze an organization's deficiencies in their accounting and IT systems and identify cost-effective solutions to those deficiencies are highly regarded by past and present clients.
Theresa is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Accounting.
Outside of her career, Theresa spends her time with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys golfing and traveling.
Tina brings over 18 years of experience to the G-Squared team. Her career began in public accounting at Price Waterhouse. Following that, she served as the Controller of consumer life sciences company TargetRx. She joined TargetRx when it was an early stage company and was a key member of the finance team through the company’s growth and eventual sale to ImpactRx. That experience led her to a position as the head of finance and administration for Philadelphia medical technology company RightCare Solutions, Inc.
In her role with RightCare Solutions, Tina was part of the management team that oversaw the sale of the company to naviHealth Inc., a Cardinal Health company. She managed the transition of the company, through the sale, before joining the G-Squared team.Tina earned her B.S. in Accounting from Kutztown University.
Bob is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University, where he received a BA in history. He followed that by obtaining his MBA from La Salle University. Before joining the G-Squared team in 2015, Bob spent 6 years serving the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an Income Maintenance Caseworker and Casework Supervisor.
As a member of the G-Squared team, Bob really enjoys the diversity of what he does. Being able to experience and learn something new every day is what makes Bob excited to come to work. He enjoys the variety of services he is able to provide to the many clients he works with as a G-Squared Associate.
Outside of work, Bob is a 76ers season ticket holder and a fan of all Philadelphia sports. He also enjoys visiting historical sights, cooking and is a craft beer enthusiast.
Jim joined G-Squared Partners as an Associate and has been a key member of the team. Taking on such responsibilities as closing his clients’ books and managing their day to day finances, Jim provides valuable service and guidance to his clients.
Jim is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University where he earned a B.S. in accounting. During his time at Penn State, Jim became interested in entrepreneurship and completed a two-piece sequence in the subject. Following graduation, he worked as an accounting research assistant for Northwestern University. Jim’s experience and his passion for entrepreneurship has proven invaluable to countless clients.
Always embracing a challenge and pushing himself, Jim spends much of his spare time training in powerlifting. He has already competed in two powerlifting meets.
Ken joined G-Squared Partner as an Associate after graduating from Susquehanna University with a B.S. in Accounting. He quickly took on the daily services offered to G-Squared clients and enjoys helping clients to grow their business through his guidance and attention to detail.
As a former captain of his college football team, Ken knows the importance of working together with his fellow Associates. He is always ready to step up and take on anything that is asked of him. In turn, he brings this mentality to his client relationships. Ken knows that whether it's his fellow associates or any of his clients, everyone is in this together and success is shared. As a Philadelphia native, Ken enjoys working with so many emerging businesses in and around his hometown.
In his free time, Ken is an avid weightlifter and enjoys watching his favorite sports teams play.
Daniel joined the G-Squared team as an associate in September of 2015. Services provided by Daniel cover a broad range of bookkeeping duties, including processing monthly closes, assisting with accurate reporting of financial information, and entering and accounting for everyday bookkeeping functions such as invoicing customers, processing bills, and handling collections. He has also spent a great deal of time working client-side, overseeing day-to-day transactions and interfacing with clients and their customers.
Daniel graduated with B.S. in Public Accounting from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
Amanda joined G-Squared looking for an opportunity that would allow her to put her accounting education to work for entrepreneurs and new businesses. She is currently working with the team to manage monthly closes, invoicing and bill payments for her clients.
Amanda is a recent graduate of Muhlenberg College, where she earned a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration. While at school, Amanda was a leader of the varsity lacrosse team and spent her free time volunteering with various organizations.
When Amanda isn't busy supporting her clients, she can be found at the beach or volunteering internationally with IVHQ.
Chad joined the G-Squared team after graduating from Temple University with a B.S. in Accounting.
Looking for a company that would give him an opportunity to grow with it, Chad came to us excited to be a part of the G-Squared growth as well as the growth of the clients. He is excited to be developing his skills and gaining experience from his fellow team members.
Chad has always had an affinity for numbers and enjoys helping his clients to understand what those numbers mean. He also likes that he is able to provide advice and guidance to help his clients succeed.
Chad spends his downtime playing sports and watching Eagles and 76ers games with friends and family.
As a graduate of Widener University, Corey came to G-Squared Partners looking for an opportunity to utilize and develop his skills in all areas of accounting. He wanted a place that would foster a well-rounded skillset and afford him the chance to learn from experienced professionals. He was also looking to become a part of a company that he could grow with. He is driven by a desire to be a contributor to the success of a company, and that is an attitude that he carries over to each of his clients.
Corey knows that accounting and finance not only keeps the lights on for a company but helps them to understand how efficiently they are operating and what is driving growth. His strengths are in the understanding of his client’s numbers as well as their business. This understanding allows him to think critically and strategically in order to offer his clients valuable insight.
During his time spent outside of the office, Corey likes to be active. He also enjoys watching football with friends and family.
Ryan came to G-Squared Partners with a clear desire to help businesses succeed. He was looking for an opportunity that would provide a valuable learning experience and a unique career path. His interest in entrepreneurial business developed while studying accounting at King’s College. While in school, Ryan was involved with the Marketing and Management Association, Beta Gamma Sigma and the IMA Accounting Honor Society.
Ryan has fully embraced his position at G-Squared, providing comprehensive service to his clients and learning from the experience of the team. He plans to utilize this experience to help him pursue his Master’s degree.
In his spare time, Ryan can be found in the kitchen working on his cooking skills or outside fishing or working on his cars.
Danny pursued accounting because it is the language of business and he has always been intrigued by the ways in which different businesses work. So, what better way to understand that than by learning to speak the language? He has also always been an organized and detail oriented person and he feels that those traits carry over well into the accounting world.
Wanting a fresh environment and a company committed to nurturing the skills of young accountants, Danny joined G-Squared in order to become an experienced professional. He greatly enjoys the opportunity to work with many different clients in an environment that embraces a changing industry.
Tommy graduated from Temple University with BBA degree and majored in both Accounting and Finance. In addition, he also completed 3 years of Japanese language study and received a Certificate of Specialization in Japanese.
At Temple, he was the President of the Japanese Culture and Conversation Club, a student organization that provided an out-of-class environment for students to practice their Japanese language skills. He was also the Vice President of the Badminton club, where he helped managed the club's budget, practices, and friendly matches against other schools in the region.
Tommy joined G-Squared because of the company’s dedication to helping young businesses grow and prosper. He saw G-Squared as a great company where he can grow as professional. Tommy understands the value that accounting creates for businesses, and enjoys being able to work on different clients from different industries.
In his free time, Tommy enjoys making music, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
